We spent the three days after Christmas at Steve’s aunt’s cabin in Squaw Valley, with all the cousins. I am always looking for a new view, and on Monday morning, with a little assistance from the sun, I found it.

Christmas Eve at Chris and Christine’s. Their house is a charming Tudor, which you wouldn’t guess from this view. But I loved the colors and the angles from the back, just at dusk.

Our annual graham cracker and candy extravaganza took to the high seas this year. Two cannon-shooting ships, one sunken ship, an island with hidden treasure and a castaway raft. Oh, and a man overboard.
