The most popular booth, by far, at the Whole Earth Festival is the guy who makes ceramic necklaces with the word “peace” in every language. And string in two colors. No fixed price, just donations. He has bowls on all four sides of his booth and by the afternoon it is four people deep (mostly teen girls). This year we went early on Sunday and just enjoyed going through the bowls, picking up one in Latin for Kate and one in Irish for Alex. We seem to be collectors of peace, and have about five more at home, plus Alex picked up a few of her own.
